Common questions

Is ShoppingLoop free?

Yes. There is nothing to buy in the app, and it shows no ads.

Check your spam folder. The code comes from no-reply@mail.shopping-loop.com. Codes expire, so if an old one doesn't work, ask for a new one. Never give your code to anyone. We will never ask for it.

Open the list, tap Share list, and search for the person by their display name. Choose what they can do, then tap Invite:

Reader can view the list.
Writer can also add, check off and change items.
Owner can also rename and delete the list and decide who is on it.

They join the list once they accept. You'll see their answer under Notifications. Only a list's owners can invite people.

Where are my invitations?

Tap the bell on the Lists screen to open Notifications. Accept or decline each invitation there. ShoppingLoop sends no push notifications, so check the bell. An invitation nobody answers expires after 30 days.

Someone keeps inviting me.

Tap Block on their invitation. You won't see their invitations any more, and they are told only that you declined. To undo it, tap Account, then Blocked people, then Unblock.

I want to leave a list.

Open the list, tap Share list, then Leave list.

I deleted something by mistake.

Turn on Show deleted to see the bin, then restore what you need. Deleted lists and items stay there for 30 days, then they are erased for good. Only a list's owners can restore a list.

How do I change my display name?

Tap Account, then Edit name.

How do I change the app's language?

The app follows your iPhone's language. To choose a different one just for ShoppingLoop, open iPhone Settings, find ShoppingLoop, and tap Language. That option appears once you have more than one language under Settings → General → Language & Region.

How do I delete my account?

Tap Account, then Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. Every list you are the only owner of is deleted, for everyone on it. To keep a shared list alive, make someone else an owner first.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Your changes are saved on the phone and sent as soon as you're back online.
