Terms of Use
ShoppingLoop · Last updated: 18.10.2026
Polska wersja: Regulamin
These terms are the rules for using ShoppingLoop's account and sync service (the "service"). The English and Polish versions say the same thing. If they ever differ, the English version applies.
1. Who provides the service
Ilya Bohaslauchyk, a private individual in Poland, makes and runs ShoppingLoop as a free, non-commercial project, not as a business.
Email: support@shopping-loop.com
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Ilya Bohaslauchyk, and "you" means the person using the service.
2. What the service does
ShoppingLoop keeps shopping lists in sync between your devices and the people you share them with. With an account, you can:
- create lists, and add, check off, rename and delete items;
- restore deleted lists and items from the bin for 30 days, after which they are erased;
- invite other ShoppingLoop users to a list by their display name, as a Reader (can view), a Writer (can also change items) or an Owner (can also rename and delete the list and decide who is on it);
- keep working without an internet connection. Your changes are saved on the device and sent when the connection returns.
The app is available in 20 languages and follows your device's language.
Limits. You can own up to 100 lists, be on up to 1,000 lists in total, and keep up to 1,000 items in a list. Lists and items in the bin don't count toward these limits.
Price. The service is free. There is nothing to buy in the app, and it shows no ads. If we ever add optional paid features, we will first change these terms as section 11 describes.
The app itself. The ShoppingLoop app is licensed to you under Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms cover the account and sync service the app connects to.
3. What you need
- An iPhone or iPad with iOS or iPadOS 16.4 or later.
- An internet connection to sign in, sync, and share.
- An email address you can receive mail at, a Google account, or an Apple ID.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email, or with Google or Apple. Keep your email and those accounts secure. Never give your sign-in code to anyone. We will never ask for it.
- You choose a display name after your first sign-in. It must have at least 3 characters and must not already be taken. Every ShoppingLoop user can see it when they search for someone to invite to a list. It must not pretend to be someone else, mislead, offend, or infringe anyone's rights. If it does, we may ask you to change it, or change it ourselves.
5. Sharing and your content
- Your content stays yours. You give us permission to store and copy it, and to show it to the members of each list, only as far as we need to run the service.
- Nobody joins a list without accepting. A list's owners can invite you. The invitation appears under Notifications in the app, where you accept or decline it. The person who invited you is told your answer. An invitation nobody answers expires after 30 days.
- Blocking. If someone keeps inviting you, tap Block on their invitation. It declines the invitation, and you won't see their invitations any more. They are told only that you declined. A block covers invitations only: it doesn't remove anyone from a list you share, and it doesn't hide you from search. You can unblock people at any time under Account → Blocked people.
- Leaving. You can leave a list at any time from its Share list screen. A list's owners can also remove members.
- Deleting. Deleted lists and items go to the bin. A list's owners can restore a deleted list, and members who can change items can restore deleted items, for 30 days. After that, they are erased permanently.
- Rules. Don't use the service to:
- store or share illegal content;
- harass, threaten or spam other people, including with repeated invitations;
- get at other people's data or accounts;
- disrupt, overload or attack the service, or get around its limits or security.
6. Reporting illegal content
We don't read or check lists in advance. If you believe a list or a display name contains illegal content, write to support@shopping-loop.com in English or Polish. Include:
- why you believe it is illegal;
- where it is: the display name involved, and the list's name if you know it;
- your name and email address;
- a statement that you believe your report is accurate and complete.
We look at every report promptly and tell you what we decided. If we remove content, restrict an account, or close one, we tell the person affected why, unless the law forbids it. They can contest the decision by replying to our message, and a person, not an automated system, reviews it. The same email address is our point of contact for public authorities.
7. Starting and ending the agreement
-
The agreement starts when you create an account, and it lasts until either of us ends it.
-
You can end it at any time, without giving a reason, by deleting your account: Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. Every list you are the only owner of is deleted for all its members too.
-
We can end it:
- with 30 days' notice by email, for a good reason, such as closing the service;
- at once, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms or the law. Where it's reasonable, we warn you first.
We always tell you why.
8. Complaints
- If the service doesn't work as it should, write to support@shopping-loop.com. Say what went wrong and what you'd like us to do. We reply within 14 days.
- Your rights under the law. Nothing in these terms limits any right that the law gives you and that cannot be waived.
9. Risks of using online services
Like any service on the internet, ShoppingLoop comes with general risks:
- malware on your device;
- phishing emails that pretend to be from us;
- someone getting into your email account and, through it, your ShoppingLoop account.
To protect yourself:
- keep your device and apps up to date;
- never share sign-in codes;
- remember that our emails come only from shopping-loop.com addresses.
To work offline, the app stores the following on your device: your sign-in session, a copy of your lists, changes not yet sent, and your settings. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to them.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we can't promise that it will always be available or free of errors. The service may pause for maintenance. We are liable under the law that applies. Nothing in these terms limits liability for harm caused intentionally, or any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
11. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for one of these reasons:
- a change in the law;
- new or changed features;
- security;
- a change in the services we depend on.
We tell you about a change by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't accept it, you can delete your account before then.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. This doesn't take away any protection that the mandatory law of the country where you live gives you. Disputes go to the courts that have jurisdiction under the law.
